Biography
Eileen cares deeply about Singapore’s tomorrow. She joined the Workers’ Party because she believes in the importance of building a stronger, rational, alternative voice in Parliament to help Singapore develop a more resilient democratic system. She strongly believes that open conversations built on respect and empathy can create a more inclusive society where diverse voices unite rather than divide.
Eileen contested in Tampines GRC during the 2025 General Election alongside Faisal Manap, Michael Thng, Jimmy Tan, and Dr Ong Lue Ping. Her team received 47.37% of the vote in the four-way contest, which paved the way for Eileen’s subsequent election as a Non-Constituency Member of Parliament to the 15th Parliament of Singapore.
Professionally, Eileen works in the social impact sector where she leads portfolios on early childhood development and youth mental health and wellbeing. Prior to her current role, Eileen served as a Singapore diplomat for almost seven years, including three years at the Singapore Embassy in Beijing during the COVID-19 pandemic. Eileen was awarded the Singapore Government Scholarship (Foreign Service) in 2011 and pursued higher studies in China and South Korea. She holds an M.A. in Global Affairs and Policy from Yonsei University, and a B.A. in International Politics from Peking University.
An avid agak agak cook, Eileen finds joy in feeding friends and family. She also enjoys taking long walks with her husband and their rescue furkid Henri.
