My fellow Singaporeans, and residents of East Coast GRC and Fengshan SMC, good evening!
My name is Mohamed Fairoz. I am the Workers’ Party candidate for East Coast GRC. Please allow me to speak first in Malay and then in English.

Residents of East Coast GRC, tonight is the Workers’ Party’s final rally for GE2015. In my first rally speech, I had shared with you a little bit about myself. In my second rally speech, I had shared with you about the issue that I am passionate about. Tonight, I will talk about inspiration, strength and hope.
Let me begin by first talking about inspiration.
It has been a truly long journey for me and my team mates, Gerald, Daniel and Leon. Together with Dennis, we began our outreach activities at East Coast GRC more than two years ago. In that time, we have tried our very best to meet with as many of the residents in East Coast GRC as we possibly can.
I am truly humbled by the support that you have given to me and my team mates in the past two years and in the past nine days of campaigning. Many of you have warmly greeted us when we knocked on your doors during our house visits. Many of you have wished us well when we meet you at the coffee shops, markets and hawker centers. Some of you have even provided us with packets of cold drinks and kopi-o.
Residents of East Coast GRC, you are our inspiration! Your concerns and feedback have inspired many of the proposals found in our party’s manifesto. Your hopes and aspirations for a better Singapore have inspired me and my team mates to step forward as the Workers’ Party candidates for East Coast GRC.
Residents of East Coast GRC, come September 11, please provide me and my team mates with the chance to serve you as your elected MPs! Vote for us to be the voice that brings up your concerns in Parliament. Vote for us to be the voice that carries your hopes and aspirations in Parliament. Vote for us so that we can work together to build a better future for ourselves, our children and our beloved Singapore!
I will now talk about strength.
Throughout this long journey, I have been truly humbled by the strength and passion shown by the many volunteers who have helped us in the past two years and in the past nine days of campaigning. Many of our volunteers are also residents of East Coast GRC and Fengshan SMC.
Our volunteers are the source of our strength! They did not come forward to help me and my team mates because of free nasi lemak or free parking. No! They came forward to help us because they truly believe that our children and our beloved nation deserve a better future. They came forward to help us because they truly believe that you, the residents of East Coast GRC, deserve to be given a genuine choice in this elections. The came forward to help us because they truly believe that your future deserve to be empowered!
Thank you to all the volunteers who have given us the strength to empower your future!
Last but certainly not the least, I will talk about hope.
I am academically trained as a historian. Most of the time, we understand history as the study of events that had occurred in the past. But, history is more than just dates and events. History is about the people and the events that have shaped our present and will shape our future.
Residents of East Coast GRC, your GRC stands at the forefront of our hopes for a better Singapore!
In my first rally speech, I had asked the following questions. Do we really want a Singapore that continues to be dominated by the voice of the PAP? Or do we want a Singapore that allows many voices, that allows your voices, to be heard?
Residents of East Coast GRC, come September 11, you will decide the future of Singapore. It is you who will decide if our future will continue to be dominated by the voice of the PAP, or if our future is one where your voices will be heard.
I know that all of us want to build a better future for ourselves, for our children and for Singapore.
Come September 11, let us make history! Let us take charge of our future!
