“It makes me want to stand up and do something.”

I started volunteering with WP in … 2015. I was then a polling agent in Sengkang West SMC under candidate Mr Koh Choong Yong. I currently volunteer in the Kaki Bukit division.

The reason I volunteer with WP is… after following the policies years back, I concluded that WP is a clear-minded party and one with a conscience that will speak up on behalf of all Singaporeans. As such, it makes me want to stand up and do something, and not just by being another follower but taking action to do what is needed.

My most memorable WP moment so far is… the 2012 Hougang By-Election rally speech made by Mr Png Eng Huat. It was the first rally that I attended and Mr Png’s speech resonated with what residents in Hougang wanted and it made the crowd roar.

Now that WP turns 60 this year, my wish for the party is… to be stronger and make Singapore a better place for future generations.

When I am not volunteering for WP-related activities, I am… all about adventurous activities that are unsuitable for those with a fear of heights – rock climbing, bungee jumping, skydiving etc. It’s the excitement and the breeze I enjoy when I am up high!
